Brandon and I have found ourselves in new territory when it comes to getting a babysitter, but two weeks ago we needed one. Our Relay For Life team had spent months planning a huge fundraising event, The Second Chance Prom. Before Carter was even born we had asked my best friend Julie if she would be willing to be our first babysitter. Luckily, she and her daughter, Kyndra, were available. (Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Carter with Kyndra, but the first picture is of Carter and Julie.) We booked two rooms at a hotel just one block from the banquet hall so that we could travel back and forth often and easily.
We even took my cousin, Kim, back with us on one of our trips so that she could meet Carter.
The Prom was a HUGE success with people dancing, eating, and talking the night away. The band and DJ were both fantastic and we've already had people ask about next year's event.
