Happy Birthday Bill!
It has been awhile since I've posted anything, so I will add a couple posts to catch everyone up on our last two weeks.
September 24th was Bill's 56th birthday. Our tradition is going to Pepe's for dinner and then back home for cake and presents. This year I even baked the cake instead of stopping by a bakery. For those of you that haven't met Bill, here's a little info. Bill joined our family almost 11 years ago. Brandon was working at the State Hospital, and he met Bill. Bill hadn't had any contact with his family in quite some time so we brought him to some of our family gatherings. Since then we moved to Lafayette and Bill did too. We see him once a month, usually for dinner and shopping but we have also went fishing, swimming, and had cook-outs. His favorite month is December because we keep him over night, go out Christmas light looking with hot chocolate at night, have a breakfast that he chooses...always Aunt Jamima pancakes or waffles, Bob Evans sausage, and donuts, and open lots of presents. We know that Bill has been a part of our lives for some very special reasons. I watched him interact with Carter on his birthday and now know that Carter will grow up knowing how to be patient and accepting of all people. Bill has definitely given more to us than we do to him. What a special relationship and how lucky we are to be part of his life! Happy Birthday Bill!
