Work, Fun, and Family

Last week was full of new adventures. The week days were spent working, going to day care, playing, and trying to keep to a schedule. Carter's biggest developments were another new tooth, and he now holds his bottle by himself. That last one had Mommy pretty sad since I believe that he still is too little to quit needing my assistance. Daddy was thrilled at how big his boy is getting.

Look Ma, no hands!

We spent part of Saturday at Riley's sixth birthday party. Brandon and I can't believe how fast the last six years have gone. It seems like just yesterday we were waiting in the hallway at the hospital to see if we had a niece or nephew. Riley is such a wonderful young man, and we are thrilled to be able to watch him grow. His birthday party was a carnival complete with a ducky pond, potty toss, putt putt game, and cotton candy.

(Aside from Edie holding Carter, which BIG kid doesn't belong?)

After the birthday party, we went to Brandon's family reunion. Carter was such a lucky boy to be loved on by so many people. It was such a hot day that sun tan lotion and a diaper were required attire...don't worry, that was just for Carter. Brandon and I kept our clothes on.

Family ~ Finding the Shade

Carter spent the rest of the weekend doing the normal stuff...cuddling with Granny, talking with Uncle Tim, eating cereal with Aunt Kara, and learning to drive his new car.

Until next time, we send lots of love!
