Two Working Parents and a Smiley Baby

This week has been a whirlwind of activity...getting used to working again, juggling everything, having dinner guests, birthdays, and finally a relaxing weekend. Here's what we've been up to:

Monday: Daddy threw out his back which made everything a bit tougher this week. Mommy found herself trying to finish her classroom and get ready for students at the last minute. I had a wonderful first full day of daycare. We heard from Memaw that Riley was heading to the emergency room after a go-cart accident. A later text from Aunt Kara told us that his arm was broken.

Tuesday: Daddy's back was in awful shape so he stayed home from work. Mommy was exhausted after her first day with students. I continued to charm everyone at daycare. All of the little girls love me.

Wednesday: We had Memaw, Pepaw, Memaw Betty, and Riley over for supper. Memaw brought most of the food. We had an early birthday party for Memaw Betty.

Riley did a good job of playing his new game system with one arm.

Thursday: More work for Mommy and Daddy. My first tooth poked threw. Mommy found it when I chomped on her finger.

Friday: After work and daycare, we headed to Walton to go to dinner with Memaw Betty, Aunt Kara, Uncle Tim, and Riley. We had a tasty meal, and I received lots of compliments about what a smiley baby I am. Mommy and Daddy keep telling everyone that my pleasant disposition is their prize for three months of colic. :)

After our dinner we went to Logansport to see Granny. We also got to see Aunt Nancy and Aunt Amy. Mommy and Daddy had frozen custard for dessert. Yummy!

Saturday: We slept in and I slept for six hours without waking, This is quite an accomplishment because my reflux usually wakes me up every couple of hours. My new medicine must be working.

We went to an Amish farmers market where Mommy and Daddy brought lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Then Daddy took us to a Greek place for lunch and we ended the afternoon with a stop at the park. The park was right down the street from where Mommy and Daddy used to live. It sure was nice, but Granny wouldn't like it...too many squirrels running around.

Sunday: Today was a relaxing day with Mommy making fresh blueberry pancakes for lunch, and fresh green beans, ham, potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and watermelon for dinner. We also spent some time outside, watched some movies, took naps, and tried to catch up on our laundry.

So, as you can see, we've had a busy week! We'll update you next weekend on all of our adventures.

Love,

The Davis'
