In the last month Carter has continued to astound us with his growing vocabulary...OK, so they are still just a bunch of babbles and coos, but I can imagine little words coming out soon. He now knows how to speak louder in order to get our attention. He also has become quite good at imitating sounds that we make. He loves repeating something when we laugh. Aunt Kara taught him how to stick out his tongue, and now he does it all the time. He also has started sleeping on his right side, which cracks me up. No matter how you lay him down, he curls over on his side and is fast asleep. We continue to battle with his reflux, but his crying, colic bouts are pretty much over. He is a great boy to take out now. He really is becoming quite the little man.
The next month will find us with a finalized adoption, adjusting to two parents that work full time, our first trip to Aunt Drevvi and Uncle Hoby's lake house, Memaw Betty's 85th birthday, Riley's sixth birthday, Brandon's family reunion, and time spent with family and friends.
In honor of the heat wave that we have been having, I dressed him today in his Hawaiian gear...a hand-me-down from Riley that Memaw and Pepaw got when they vacationed in Hawaii. Enjoy the pics!
