The Davis'...our Forever Family!

Yesterday morning our adoption was finalized and we are now legally parents. It is so wonderful to have all of the process...paperwork, home study, attorney appointments, etc. behind us. We immediately felt the stress of the last four months melt away. Now we can just continue to enjoy our little man. Dad and Kara joined us in the courtroom and Susan took us out to breakfast to celebrate. We even had a couple of presents waiting for us in Dad's office. We also had the chance to see Memaw Betty and Great Granny, so we had a wonderful day! Last night Brandon and I sat here watching Carter sleep and continued to be in awe of him and all that he has brought to us and our families.

We will never forget the way we have felt during the first four months of your life. You continue to bring joy to us in ways to numerous to count. We can't wait to watch as you continue to grow and change. Please remember that we love you and are here to help you grow into an honest, kind, and gentle man. On April 3rd, you were born into our hearts. Today you are legally a Davis, and we are so thrilled that you adopted us!

Aunt Andi is on vacation, but she left a present for us to open when the adoption was finalized. What cute t-shirts and such a thoughtful way to remember our big day....notice Brandon's face...since I have started blogging I have more pictures of him and his funny faces...maybe that should be a post, "The many faces of Brandon Davis!"
