Our Wonderful Weekend

We enjoyed a nice weekend that started out with Riley's first basketball game. (Sorry, the pictures are dark.) Watching a team of six-year-olds play is a sure way to start the day off with a smile. I think that Riley enjoyed his first game. He sure had quite a cheering crowd! There were a total of eight of us rooting on our favorite bball boy. We then all went to breakfast afterwards.

Mommy was then off to the Relay for Life Kick-Off. The theme this year is Marga-Relay-Ville. It may have been cold outside, but inside it was paradise.

Watch Out! There's a palm tree fight in progress!

We spent the warmest part of Sunday getting Carter in his sledding gear. He wasn't sure if he liked it or not, but we managed to get a few smiles...especially when Daddy fed him some snow. The only difficulty we had was trying to get his snow boots on. Do the manufacturers actually think that a nine month old can get their feet into these contraptions. We gave up and opted for his tennis shoes.

We spent most of the weekend in our pajamas playing and dreaming about spring. :) Carter now will come up with uses for everything. He carried around a red disposable cup for most of the weekend. He also loves playing with his bottle lids and any box he can lay his hands on.

Now we are back to work and our regular schedule. It sure was nice to get to stay home with Carter for five days. Now I can't wait until summer break!
