We spent July Fourth at home and since Carter goes to bed before it gets dark, we had our own fireworks display...at dusk...in the rain.
We were supposed to spend July 5th with Granny and at a cook-out, then back home late that afternoon, but as kids often do...Carter decided to change our plans. He woke up that morning with a fever that we could not break. We went to MedExpress to find out that he had an ear infection. We later learned that he also had a viral throat infection. While I didn't find his illness funny at the time, I now am glad that Brandon snapped a couple of pictures. They may come in handy if ever he decides to be sixteen with a "what have you done for me" attitude. :)
What does a mommy do when her baby's fever won't break and he won't stay in the tub by himself? She hops in fully clothed to help comfort him and keep the lukewarm water flowing. See Carter your Mommy loves you tons!
We have also had time to go out for lunch with Granny and Great-Granny, play in the backyard and in the water, and go to the library. Carter also loved having Granny babysit him twice this month.
playing in the backyard...Can you see the water droplets?
Carter loves playing with the animals at the library.
We went to the Cass County Fair. It was lots of fun...chilly, but fun.
